Woodcarving 101

I know spin tops are a bit old school but that doesn’t mean they can’t be a lot of fun. Join us at the Southern Oaks Library March 18th, at 2pm. We will be re-purposing old CD's to make the Spinniest CD spinners ever.

You're going to be an architect and interior designer! Your task is to design your dream home with a budget. Think carefully about what rooms you need and want. Be creative and have fun while learning about budgeting, math, and architecture!

Watch Out Below! Operation Egg Drop is coming to Southern Oaks Library. 

The kids and adults can work together to kids to design a contraption using various materials (usually recyclables) to protect a raw egg from a high fall.

Join us at the Southern Oaks Library this March for a month-long excursion into the world of paper crafts! Each week will feature a different paper craft for guests of all ages to participate in!

Week 1: Paper Collages

Participants will learn the technique of needle felting to create a small soft sculpture. For kids age 9 to 13 and a parent/caregiver. 

Join us at the Belle Isle Library for a fun and creative adventure that blends science and art! In this hands-on program, participants will explore the world of circuits by making their very own paper circuit artwork.

Sometimes using the simplest materials can be the most fun. Collaborate to design and construct a miniature cardboard city that will be displayed in the library foyer. What would your dream city look like? 

Gather your team of up to 4 people to compete against other groups in a timed jigsaw puzzle competition. Teams will have 120 minutes to put together their puzzle; each team will be working on a 500-piece puzzle provided by the library.

Step into a come-and-go, creative Spring Break afternoon packed with fun, hands-on activities. Get your hands into colorful Play-Doh or kinetic sand to shape and mold your imagination, or piece together puzzles for some quiet fun.

Come for the lemonade, stay for the games, crafts, and activities! We'll bring out our Nintendo Switch and compete in Mario Kart tournaments, play Exploding Kittens, do puzzles together, and more! For ages 12-18.

Are you an adult who enjoys coloring? Have a nice social visit with other adults and bring your coloring supplies! We will also have some coloring sheets and art supplies available. 

Calling all teens! Come to the library to spend some time with other teens, enjoy a craft, and make new friends! 

Do you want to be one of the best Pokémon trainers? Come meet other fans and bring your Pokémon cards to partake in some old school card trading and battling among other Pokémon-related activities.

Join us after school for arts and crafts! Each Friday, come hang out with friends while we do a fun craft. This craft involve small, colorful, plastic beads that are fused together with heat to create patterns and designs. Lets get creative!!

Come join us as we turn simple-looking paper strips into beautiful art by paper quilling. Paper quilling involves rolling, looping, curling and shaping paper strips and then combining them to create designs.

Spring break fun isn't just for kids - send your child’s favorite stuffed animal to Stuffed Animal Sleepaway Camp!

Join us for a Book Adventure! Meet with other kids to discuss a great book. We will have a snack and play a game, or make a craft. Books chosen are usually a picture book or short chapter book that has appeal for kids 6 to 11 years old.

Let's go on an animal adventure! Each month, we'll learn about a different animal, read a related story, and work on an animal craft or activity together. 

3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30PM.

Get ready for an awesome time at Anime Club! Hang out with fellow anime and manga lovers, watch exciting episodes from popular anime series, and dive into a hands-on Japanese-inspired craft.

Blast off with your imagination at the Ralph Ellison library Lego Club. Lego dreamers of all ages and experience levels welcome.​ 

Always a favorite, Paint Your World -- the Edmond Library's own version of a (non-alcoholic) paint and sip party is returning for Spring Break!

Come crochet with us! All skill levels welcome. Bring your kit from February or bring your own project!

Pattern in February's kit uses chains, single crochet and double crochets.
