Brief Job Description:

Under the direction of the Access Manager, the Library Aide ensures appropriate and efficient processing and distribution of Library materials. This includes checking items in from library book drops, shelving materials, and performing basic library collection maintenance. The Library Aide will provide basic customer assistance by answering directional questions regarding the library collection. May issue library cards and assist members by checking out and returning library materials.

This position will be assigned to the Choctaw Library, which is located at 2525 Muzzy St, Choctaw, OK 73020.  Selected candidate may occasionally travel to other Community Library locations (Harrah, Jones, Luther, and Nicoma Park) as needed.

Summary:  Plans, leads, organizes, and controls the library's facilities maintenance, fleet, and delivery/logistics operations; oversees the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment; prepares and maintains contingency plans and takes charge of physical emergencies; actively participates in the library's safety programs; prepares the department budget; prepares strategic planning documents and directs strategic plan implementation; supervises and provides leadership and accountability to facilities maintenance staff; and may participate in the planning, administration, and coordination of major capital and renovation projects in partnership with the appropriate division and/or department.

This position will be assigned to the MLS Service Center, which is located at 300 NE 50th Street in Oklahoma City, but will serve all MLS locations.

Summary:  Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Community Officer (CCO) has strategic and operational responsibility for the library’s Community Services division. They direct, administer, plan, and coordinate activities related to the library’s Community Services division following policies, strategic plan(s), and annual plan(s) established by the library’s Executive and Advisory Councils and the Metropolitan Library Commission. Responsibilities include providing leadership, strategic direction, and resource stewardship for the subordinate directors who oversee the departments within the division and for succession planning and mentoring support for all division staff. The CCO is responsible for ensuring an integrated approach to the library’s community relations efforts, organizational marketing and messaging, and fundraising activities to advance the library’s strategic goals and objectives. This position is a member of the Executive and Advisory Councils.
