Woodcarving 101
Join us at the Northwest Library for an introductory woodcarving workshop designed for adults with no prior experience. In this hands-on program series, you'll learn the four fundamental cuts that form the foundation of woodcarving. Our expert instructor will guide you through each technique, demonstrating proper tool handling, safety practices, and basic carving methods.
After learning the essential cuts, you'll have the opportunity to practice your new skills by creating one of two simple designs. All materials and tools will be provided, making this the perfect chance to explore a new creative hobby. Whether you're looking to develop a new craft or simply try something different, this workshop offers a welcoming environment for beginners to discover the art of woodcarving.
The first class will be smaller and more seats will be added for the second, third and fourth classes. This will allow beginners to have lots of guidance from the instructor.
No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and creativity! Space is limited, so register early to secure your spot.
