Program Description

Event Description

You probably know that many fish have scales covering the outside of their bodies and can be used for protection, but did you know that other animals also have scales on their bodies?  Did you know that reptiles and insects such as butterflies also have scales?  In this kit we will learn more about these animals and their scales and also create crafts in which we use glue and paint to reproduce these amazing "skin" textures.  Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about these animals and their tales.

Kits are one per FAMILY. Any duplicate registrations will be deleted. Kits can be picked up at Northwest Library from Wednesday June 8th through Saturday June 12th during library hours. Registered customers must pick up kits by Saturday 6 PM or call the library at (405) 231-8650 to make alternate pick up arrangements as any remaining kits will be made available to waitlisted customers after that time.

All print outs and instructions will be posted here after the program so that families with siblings or others who may not have had the opportunity to register can reproduce the kit at home.

Disclaimer(s)

We can only guarantee one kit per household and per registration (if required).

It is encouraged that an adult supervise children while using this Metropolitan Library System Take & Make Kit.
