Event Description
Come join us as we turn simple-looking paper strips into beautiful art by paper quilling. Paper quilling involves rolling, looping, curling and shaping paper strips and then combining them to create designs. Quilling is not just an art; it also helps with relaxation and hand-eye coordination. You will find it amazingly therapeutic to sit around the table with us and chat while we quill.
Our community group is for all quillers- beginners, experienced, or somewhere in between. We will have tools & supplies, along with a simple project, at each monthly meeting, so you can learn the basics and grow as a quiller. If you do have your own tools and supplies, please bring them and anything you're working on!
In the month of May, we will make a mandala. A mandala is a geometric pattern or design that typically features a circle and imagery that guides the viewer's attention inward. The word "mandala" comes from Sanskrit and means "circle". In Hinduism and Buddhism, mandalas are often used as a tool for meditation and focus.
Registration required so we know how many to expect. Please register each participant individually.
