Program Description

Event Description

Join us for a fun workshop to learn about the amazing art of Edgar Heap of Birds, a Native American artist. You'll see how he uses words and pictures to tell important stories about history and Indigenous people.

In this workshop, you'll get to make your own prints using gelli art plates. It's a cool and easy way to make art, perfect for everyone, whether you're new to it or have done it before.

We'll give you all the materials you need, and you don't need to know anything about art to join. Space is limited, so make sure to sign up. Come and discover how printmaking can help you explore themes like identity, history, and place in a fun and creative way.

This program is generously funded by Kirkpatrick Foundation in collaboration with Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center.
