Event Description

Bring wonder and magic to math by creating your own magnetic fishing number game. Kits will contain templates for fish that kids can color and decorate as they please. After decorating each fish is assigned a number. Fish are made magnetic using a paper clip and then are picked up with a magnetic "fishing rod." There are several different games to play! You can catch the fish in ascending or descending number order, "hunt" for a specific number fish, look for odd or even numbers, and whatever else you can think of! You could even adapt this game to work on addition or subtraction. Let's make our time with math magical so that our little ones don't see it as a frustrating chore.

Kits are one per FAMILY. Any duplicate registrations will be deleted. This kit does contain small items, so please do not leave small children unattended with this kit. Kits can be picked up at Northwest Library from Wednesday December 16th through Saturday December 19th during curbside pickup hours. Registered customers must pick up kits by Saturday 4 PM or call the library at (405) 231-8650 to make alternate pick up arrangements as any remaining kits will be made available to waitlisted customers on Sunday.

Due to high demand for these kits, all print outs and instructions will be posted here on the SUNDAY after the last day of pickup so that families with siblings or others who may not have had the opportunity to register can reproduce the kit at home.
