Program Description

Event Description

Juneteenth (on June 19th) is a holiday that celebrates the day that effectively ended slavery in the United States. It marked the winds of change for racial inequities in US history. Pick up a kit with supplies to create a commemorative windsock to celebrate Juneteenth and the efforts still remaining to close societal gaps.

While supplies last, visit Almonte staff at Trinity Lutheran Church 5701 S May Ave, OKC 73119 on Tuesdays (9-12p), Thursdays (9-4p) and during Neighborhood Arts at OKC Dream Center 2212 SW 55th St, OKC 73119 on Tuesdays 2-3p.
