jour·nal   (jûr′nəl)n.1.a. A personal record of occurrences, experiences, and reflections kept on a regular basis; a diary Have you ever wanted to start a Journal? Many famous writers, artists and original thinkers of our generation have kept journals, for many it is a creative necessity, for others, a place for exploration, and for some an art form in and of itself. So if you're ready to get creative join us for a three part series: Journaling @ the Downtown Library. You can create your very own Wreck this Journal in March, create a Junk journal in April for Earth Day and/or an Art Journal at GeekCon in May! Bring ticket stubs, pictures and any other items that you would want included in your journal. Register for one, two or all three in the series. We look forward to seeing you there! Space is limited, registration required. Ages 13+Dates:March 17th - Wreck this Journal - For anyone who's ever wished to, but had trouble starting, keeping, or finishing a journal or sketchbook.April 21st - Junk Journal - A Junk journal is a handmade book made up of recycled items such as papers from magazines, brochures, patterned paper, music sheets, envelopes, packaging, brown paper bags, maps, greeting cards, post cards, doilies, to name a few.  May 18th - Art Journal - An art journal is a visual diary; it combines elements of writing, drawing, painting, collage, and even printmaking to express yourself.
