Program Description

Event Description

The Intermediate Tai Chi class teaches participants ways to improve their overall mind, body and spirit through a series of slow continuous movements. Participants of the class must complete Beginners' Tai Chi instruction. The class meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for six weeks. Classes start on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. To register please sign up online, in the library or call the Southern Oaks Library at (405) 631-4468. If the class is full and you are interested in future classes, please put your name on the waiting list.

Let's get stronger, together! Evidence suggests that Tai Chi is an effective means of improving balance, strengthening muscles, and building confidence to prevent falls. Tai Chi is a low-impact dance-like exercise that can be performed almost anywhere.

The workshop is sponsored by OHAI- Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative, a program of the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
