Program Description

Event Description

Celebrate Women's History Month with your little one by doing this Helen Frankenthaler inspired art. Helen Frankenthaler is a famous American artist who is well known for her use of the soak stain technique. Children will be making their own puddle paintings using liquid watercolor and photo paper. Participants will need a cookie sheet, or some other flat object that can catch spills, and something to line it with for the project. Paint, in eye dropper bottles, and paper will be provided. Also included will be some examples of Frankenthaler's work, a brief history handout, and a booklist.

Kits are one per FAMILY. Any duplicate registrations will be deleted. Kits can be picked up at Northwest Library from Wednesday March 16th through Saturday March 19th during operating hours. Registered customers must pick up kits by Saturday 5 PM or call the library at (405) 231-8650 to make alternate pick up arrangements as any remaining kits will be made available to waitlisted customers on Sunday.
