Program Description

Event Description

For more than 125 years, the U.S. Postal Service’s stamp
program has celebrated the people, events, and cultural
milestones that are unique to the history of our nation.

The Black Heritage stamp series, which began in
1978 with a stamp honoring Harriet Tubman, along with many
other stamps, has paid tribute to African-American leaders,
inventors, educators, scientists, entrepreneurs, entertainers,
and athletes.

Who would you put on the next Black Heritage Stamp? Celebrate Black History Month by recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of African Americans by picking up a postcard to create your own stamp!

Kits can be picked up between February 1st-14th. Registration is required.

Use the postcard provided to create your own Black Heritage Stamp and mail it back for it to be displayed at your library.

Please list the pick up location (Choctaw, Harrah, Jones, Luther, Nicoma Park) in the comments/notes section. One registrant per submission.

Disclaimer(s)

We can only guarantee one kit per registration.  Please register individually to ensure that kits are appropriately distributed.  Special notes should not be used for additional registrations.
