Event Description

Are you looking for a new, mildly addicting, hobby? Look no further and join us at the Northwest Library for a night of crafting fun! We are going to combine junk journaling and old fashioned, letter writing to make beautiful one of a kind cards. Junk journaling is the process of creating journals or diaries out of old books from scratch. Adding in your own (scrap) papers and then embellishing them with all sorts of stickers, ribbons… really whatever your imagination and clutter drawer can come up with. We will simplify this into a one hour craft with a finished product that can be added to your art collection, gifted to a loved one, or sent overseas to a lucky pen pal!

Feel free to bring little bits and bobs to include in your craft! Old ticket stubs, magazines, brochures, patterned paper, music sheets, envelopes, packaging, brown paper bags, maps, greeting cards, post cards, and doilies to name a few ideas. Anything you can think of to make your letter more personal to your style!
