Science & STEAMProgram Description
Event Description
Do you want to give your child a foundation for learning coding as they get older? Well meet Cubetto! Cubetto is a wooden robot that requires no screen time to teach your child the basic skills they need to start their coding journey. Children will program Cubetto to move around a map and reach his destination. This will give children the ability to experience a classroom like environment while using technology that they may not have access to at home. Parents will be helping children, but no coding experience required! Your child does need to understand left/right, forward/backward, and the concept of repetition. In the class we will program Cubetto with various function blocks, work on basic debugging, and build basic "codes" so he knows where to go. Children will be separated by age, in the same room, to ensure appropriate instruction is given for various levels.
If you register for the first class you will be registered for all 3, we will continue to build on knowledge during each class. If you are unable to attend a class, we will remove your registration from the remaining classes to allow waitlist participants the option to join us.
Please register each child who will be participating individually.
