Program Description

Event Description

Let’s take a trip around the world – through art!

Join us each month with a new Take and Make Kit highlighting a different type of folk art from countries, territories, and people around the world. This September we will be “traveling” to Peru as we get ready to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept 15th to October 15. Along with information about the country of Peru and it's people; this Take Home kit will contain the instructions and most of the materials needed to make a paper Nicho - a three-dimensional or recessed display box popular throughout Central and South, similar to a shadow box.
