Event Description
Take your coding knowledge to the next level and create a real app that you and your friends can use! Youth ages 9-14 who have already attended Coding Club (or have a similar base knowledge of basic coding concepts) may attend this four-hour workshop. They will learn the basics of MIT App Inventor, which enables them to use drag-and-drop programming to create apps for Android devices. They will work in teams (with a CS professional mentoring each team) to conceptualize, design, and code an app. Snacks and technology will be provided.
This program is part of the library's Grow With Google grant.
