Event Description
To allow for social distancing, this event will be held at FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES with a maximum of 12 children and their accompanying adult(s) in the room. Please select from 2:00pm, 2:30pm, 3:00pm or 3:30pm and REGISTER EACH CHILD INDIVIDUALLY.
Celebrate Women's History Month by getting to know Oklahoma's Original Cowgirl, Lucille Mulhall! In our lobby during Spring Break, you can pose for a picture in front of a western backdrop, peruse the contents of a cowboy-themed trunk from the Oklahoma History Center, or grab a scavenger hunt sheet and two-step around the library in search of clues. On Second Saturday in our meeting rooms, registered children will be able to enjoy a LIVE performance by a costumed actor from the History Center who will regale you with the exciting details of Lucille's life and Wild West shows, make themselves a bolo and a "dress Stetson" hat, and try their hand at lassoing a few steer! And of course, you can always mosey on down to our outside bookdrop area and meet Lucille in (statue) person ;)
