About Warr Acres Library
This full-service library, a spacious and beautiful 12,500 square foot building, has served the Warr Acres and west Oklahoma City communities since September 9, 1967. One of the first libraries to be incorporated into the Metropolitan Library System, Warr Acres was built with bonds issued in 1965 and with federal matching funds.

Join us after school for a chance to read to a loving therapy dog! Our sweet furry friends like nothing more than to listen to children read books. Check in anytime between 3:30 - 4:15 pm for an opportunity to read or just pet your furry friend.
Do you like kids? Interested in baby-sitting this summer? Then come to our mini-series Baby-Sitting 101! There will be three sessions on Thursdays in May. Attend all three and receive a Baby-Sitting 101 completion certificate!
Let your imagination soar at our toddler art time! We will use an assortment of odds and ends to create our very own works of art. A librarian will be on hand to provide you with all the resources you need to spread your artistic wings!
