The Special Collections and Research Department has more than just books. Growing from the local history research room established at the first Oklahoma City Public Library, archival collections available in SCR include letters about collecting folklore history in 1950s Oklahoma, original artwork, audio and video personal history interviews, and much more.
The collection inventories include a list of boxes and folders, please use the Contact Us Form or call 405-606-3738 to let us know what materials you would like to see and to set a time to view them. The Oklahoma Room is open for research Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm. Materials can be copied or scanned, and Guests are welcome to take pictures using their personal devices while in the library.
