On 2 June 1944, the crew of the B-24 Liberator, the Northern Star, departed on a milk run to Bretigny Air Field, south of Paris. It was supposed to be a routine bombing mission with little chance of danger. But, soon enough, the crew would find themselves trapped behind enemy lines, trying to elude capture.
