Learn the basics of becoming a U.S. Citizen! The Southern Oaks Public Library is partnering with Community Literary Centers to provide free weekly classes that explore the steps of the naturalization process.

So much more than books! Join us as a librarian introduces little ones to the library and shows parents/caregivers how to create excitement about reading. Connect with others while enjoying rhymes, songs, books, and a craft.

No matter your level of experience there is something to gain from these all level classes. Yoga has numerous benefits, such as increased flexibility, improved muscle strength, increased blood flow, better posture, balance, and more!

Celebrate Black History Month with Southern Oaks Library and the Groovemeant Community group. This event will showcase, teach, and have some Black History month fun on the dance floor.

Play is an important part of early childhood development and an excellent way to prepare children for school and beyond.

Join us every Monday and Friday that the library is open down in the first floor atrium. We have fantastic volunteer pianists playing our baby grand piano.

The OKC Mobile Market offers fresh produce to residents of Oklahoma County at no cost. We know that access to fresh fruit and vegetables is a barrier for many folks in the community, not only due to food deserts, but also the rising cost of food.

No registration required - we'll get you signed up when you arrive!

The Southern Oaks Library Fan Fiction and Fan Art contest was founded to recognize the remarkable talents of people in our community. 

Chess sets may also be checked out for in-library use at any time by visiting the information desk. This is a recurring event and takes place every Friday.
