10 am - Neighborhood Arts Program

Come celebrate color and creativity with Science Museum Oklahoma! We’ll be making alcohol inks pool and flow on clear plastic to create vibrant bursts of color.

Add a splash of color to your summer reading adventure and join us as we explore the vibrant world of Choctaw beadwork. In this program, you will learn about the significance of beading in Choctaw culture.

Come and start the summer off right!  Bring your own white t-shirt, bag, scarf, or anything you'd like to tie dye.  We'll have the materials to dye what you bring!  

The best materials to use are:

Come join us as we turn simple-looking paper strips into beautiful art by paper quilling. Paper quilling involves rolling, looping, curling and shaping paper strips and then combining them to create designs.

Eric of Literati Press and JEO Creations is leading a discussion and workshop on how to draw and render “Dynamic Anatomy” as influenced by masters such as Burne Hogarth, Time Sale, Jack Kirby, Mark Silvestri and more!

 This program explores the variety of colors in nature.

Kids, Teens, come build a marble run! We are working together to build some fun structures that we will then use to race some marbles. Can you build the best one? Can you pick the marble that will be the winner? Join us and see!

Teens, join us on the first Thursday of June and July for Anime Movie Night! We'll make an anime-inspired craft and watch a full feature-length anime movie.

Teens, join us and learn acrylic painting techniques! This month, we will be painting a rockin' guitar against a rainbow background. You will leave with a completed painting.
