Get creative at your library this fall with Creativity Lab! This month, visit different stations to complete a variety of Pokemon-themed arts and crafts. Plus challenge your tracking skills with a special Pokemon scavenger hunt.

Step into a world of creativity at the Village Library! Join us for an afternoon filled with endless possibilities where young minds can explore their imaginations and bring their ideas to life through a variety of crafts and creative projects.

Come along with us as we explore the legends and lore behind the world's fantastical creatures through arts and crafts!

This month, we're encountering krakens!

Do you like sharing recipes, stories, books, craft ideas, watching little known movies and discussing all kinds of cultures- including diversity and pop culture?  Yes?!

Love anime, manga, K-pop, or K-dramas? Learning an Asian language? Want to visit an Asian country? Come hang out in the Anime Club and make new friends and learn new things! Plus, take home cool stuff like Asian snacks and crafts!

Join a Ralph Ellison librarian for a story and art project!

Bring your sewing machine and projects and quilt with friends! Don't have a machine? We have a few to borrow! Don't know how to quilt? We can get you started, or bring any needlework project to work on and enjoy the company!

Guests will choose a vinyl design cut with the Cricut to create a zippered bag for art supplies and/or pencil/school supplies. Recommended for new Cricut users. 

This is an open work day for those participating in our One Minute Animation Film Festival workshop.

You’re never too young or too old to make art! Join us the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month for open-ended creation inspired by different artists and techniques. Children age six and younger should be accompanied by an adult.

Celebrate the end of Banned Books Week with this art program!

Join us for an afternoon of crafts for grown ups! Supplies and space are limited, and this program is first come, first served. Bring your maker mindset and prepare to be inspired!

Hispanic Heritage History Month is here! Join us to create foil art at the Southern Oaks Library to help celebrate the many influential Hispanic artists of the past and present. We will be using hot glue guns, foil, and sharpies.

Join us on the last Saturday of each month to complete a LEGO challenge. All LEGO's will be provided.

Get ready for the fall season with some fun and festive button art! We'll be using hot glue guns to turn buttons into cute seasonal art. You can choose from a ghost or a pumpkin.

Join us for an hour of painting and mocktails! We'll be guided through a video tutorial step-by-step by an artist to paint a masterpiece while we relax, chat, and enjoy some light refreshments. 

Did you miss out on one of our craft activities earlier this year? Do you have fond memories of childhood art class projects, or did you ever peer into the supply cabinets wistfully and want to try everything?

Join us to learn how to make simple wrap bracelets using leather cord and glass beads!

Bring your own quilting or other project and get a chance to work on it with like-minded people. They'll even offer advice if asked. Be sure to check out a quilting book from our collection!

During this awesome night of creativity, your dreams of paint and tape working together to create a masterpiece will finally come true. Come to the library with those dreams and leave your talent at home to watch TV.
