Learn the basics of English in this class made possible by Community Literacy Centers. This introductory level class meets every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm.

Have you been wanting to get into D&D but don't know where to start? Are you an experienced player looking for a new campaign to join? Players of all skill levels are invited to play in-person every other Wednesday August 14th- November 20th.

Do you like sharing recipes, stories, books, craft ideas, watching little known movies and discussing all kinds of cultures- including diversity and pop culture?  Yes?!

Improve your reading and other basic skills in this class made possible by Community Literacy Centers. This class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-11:30am. 

Total Wellness is a FREE interactive weight loss for adults to help prevent diabetes and heart disease. Classes meet for eight weeks. The goal of the class is for everyone to lose 5% of their body weight and become more active.

Learn and practice computer basics in this hands-on class. Using laptops, staff will guide adult learners through the fundamentals.

Love anime, manga, K-pop, or K-dramas? Learning an Asian language? Want to visit an Asian country? Come hang out in the Anime Club and make new friends and learn new things! Plus, take home cool stuff like Asian snacks and crafts!

Join us on the fourth Thursday of each month for two hours of Family Gaming Night! Meet other game lovers, and learn how to play new games with them. We'll have a variety of tabletop and video games available and plenty of space to play them.

Bring your sewing machine and projects and quilt with friends! Don't have a machine? We have a few to borrow! Don't know how to quilt? We can get you started, or bring any needlework project to work on and enjoy the company!

Whether you've never wielded a paintbrush before or you're an accomplished artist already, join us to learn about a new artist each month and complete a project based on their work.

Join us for an evening of stories and activities exploring our senses! This storytime is designed for children ages 2 and up with special sensory needs or for those who might need a smaller crowd.

You’re never too young or too old to make art! Join us the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month for open-ended creation inspired by different artists and techniques. Children age six and younger should be accompanied by an adult.

Ready to expand your crafting repartoire? Join us for a workshop on the basics of the art of cross stitch.

Join us an evening of Vinyl Record Listening & Art!
Bring in your own vinyl records to spin while creating some art!
Art Supplies will be provided but feel free to bring in your own project to work on if desired.

Learn the basics of becoming a U.S. Citizen! The Southern Oaks Public Library is partnering with Community Literary Centers to provide free weekly classes that explore the steps of the naturalization process.

Open to all teens aged 12-18. Apply online so that you can receive volunteer hours for your participation.
