Join us for Zine Canteen, our monthly meet-up for zine enthusiasts of all ages, teens and adults alike!

Learn the basics of becoming a U.S. Citizen! The Southern Oaks Public Library is partnering with Community Literary Centers to provide free weekly classes that explore the steps of the naturalization process.

Open to all teens aged 12-18. Apply online so that you can receive volunteer hours for your participation. New members may join in September or January.

Do you need ideas for filling out the rest of your winter reading bingo card? Do you want to chat about the books you've already read with other winter reading challengers? Do you want a chance at winning some awesome Metro Library swag?

Let your imagination soar at our toddler art time! We will use an assortment of odds and ends to create our very own works of art. A librarian will be on hand to provide you with all the resources you need to spread your artistic wings!

No matter your level of experience there is something to gain from these all level classes. Yoga has numerous benefits, such as increased flexibility, improved muscle strength, increased blood flow, better posture, balance, and more!

The Pet Food Pantry of Oklahoma, Central Oklahoma's Food Bank for Pets, will bring their mobile food pantry to the Ralph Ellison parking lot to give away food for your dog or cat. Food available while supplies last.

Join us every Monday and Friday that the library is open down in the first floor atrium. We have fantastic volunteer pianists playing our baby grand piano.

Math tutoring program for all ages. Math questions ranging from basic arithmetic to Algebra 2 (excluding geometry) are welcome. Teen volunteers will be available for individualized assistance.

Chess sets may also be checked out for in-library use at any time by visiting the information desk. This is a recurring event and takes place every Friday.

Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting or any other type of fiber arts? Then come join us every third Saturday of the month.

Learn the Art of Mixed Media Collage!

We will be using a variety of materials which include acrylic paints, pages from magazines and newspapers, foil, cardboard, washi tape and found objects.

Join us for a lively Saturday Morning Storytime at the Ralph Ellison Library, a fun-filled 30-minute session designed for toddlers and preschoolers ages 1-5!

Join us for Preschool Paint & Play, a program where preschoolers can unleash their imagination! In each program we will explore a different art medium, allowing children to explore their creativity while getting a little messy.

Come one, come all, to the Book Lovers' Ball! You are invited to dress in a costume representing your favorite book, a character, setting, or something related to a book.

Stop by to create exciting projects using various art mediums, methods, and materials.

Join us for an exciting hands-on program where candy becomes our laboratory equipment! Kids ages 5-12 will conduct real scientific experiments using everyday candies to learn about chemistry, physics, and scientific observation.
