Add a splash of color to your summer reading adventure and join us as we explore the vibrant world of Choctaw beadwork. In this program, you will learn about the significance of beading in Choctaw culture.

This 6 week interactive class works with parents to build a toolbox full of education, tips, tricks, and strategies for supportive parenting. 

Topics Include: 

In this fun hands-on class, the Geologists of the Oklahoma Geological Survey will introduce children to the exciting world of rocks, minerals, and soils by exploring the science of color!

This presentation focuses on hand hygiene, how diseases are spread, and how to keep them to yourselves.

Show up any time between 3:30 and 4:45 in the afternoon every Wednesday this summer to work on reaching your Summer Reading goal. Each week will include a fun theme and a prize for kids who participate!

Have you always wanted to explore creative writing but never had the chance? Are you looking for a supportive community of writers with whom you can share your work?

Join Native Farming Solutions & Black Soil in this hands on class to learn about seed starting and the importance of land stewardship using Indigenous knowledge.

Come and "chill" out with some Christmas ornament crafts! There will be 4-5 Christmas ornament crafts with supplies and directions provided.

Participants will learn how to "paint" with wool using needle felting. Follow along with Darci Lenker from Oklahoma Contemporary for step-by-step instructions!

Calling all Preschoolers, ages 3.5-5! What will be going on at the library today? Something exciting just for you! Will it be playtime, storytime, parachute play, or music play? No matter what, it will be fun, so come and see!

Children ages 1-18 are invited to enjoy a meal from 12-1:30 p.m. at Ralph Ellison Library.

Meals are provided by Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Summer Feeding Program.
