Join us for a storytime at your neighborhood library! Skilled librarians will introduce little ones to the library and show parents and caregivers invaluable information on reading readiness and create excitement about reading. Connect with others while enjoying stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and more!
Adventure begins at the Downtown Library! Join us once a week between June 18th to July 13th. We have transformed our Children's Programming room into "Camp Downtown". Each week we will feature a new camp craft.

Learn how to turn everyday trash into nature's treasure! Kids will learn about the many ways we can use our waste to work for us and not against us. You will walk away with your very own vermicomposting bin as well!
OKCMOA will develop art making activities around the special exhibition on view at the Museum that summer.

Join us for some outdoor play! Our friends from Legacy Bank will be bringing their ice cream truck to enjoy free treats. We'll have chalk, bubbles, and fun! We'll be set up in the front walkway - park and play!

The Pet Food Pantry of Oklahoma, Central Oklahoma's Food Bank for Pets, will bring their mobile food pantry to the Ralph Ellison parking lot to give away food for your dog or cat. Food available while supplies last.
Join us every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday that the library is open down in the first floor atrium. We have fantastic volunteer pianists playing our baby grand piano.
Children ages 1-18 are invited to enjoy a meal from 12-2 p.m. at Ralph Ellison Library.
Meals are provided by Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Summer Feeding Program.

Need a place to play games with friends, work on your computer, or just visit? Join us for Community Room time every Friday from 1-3. For adults and teens.
Explore the world of Greek Mythology through an interactive and challenging escape room. Only by working together to solve puzzles and complete challenges will you be able to escape the Labyrinth!
Join us every Friday for bingo! This family friendly event will feature trivia, jokes, and facts on the theme of the week!

Want to be a more confident reader? Build "pawsitive" self-esteem and improve your reading skills while reading aloud to certified therapy dogs at the library.

It’s your move! Want to increase your memory and concentration or practice logical thinking skills? Learn how to play chess or develop your existing skills against other players in a friendly environment. Players of all abilities are welcome. Chess boards are provided and library materials are available for further learning.
Chess sets may also be checked out for in-library use at any time by visiting the information desk. This is a recurring event and takes place every Friday.
