Let's celebrate the beginning of summer reading with a dance party! Children become reading-ready as they dance, sing, and laugh.

Join us for storytime at the Del City Library! Skilled librarians will introduce little ones to the library and show parents and caregivers invaluable information on reading readiness and create excitement about reading.

Please register each child who will be in attendance individually.  This program will begin on time.  If you are not here five minutes after the designated start time, we will give your spot away if people are waiting.

Target Age: Toddlers, preschool, and school-age children 

Join us Monday through Thursday from 12:00-1:30 for summer lunch. Lunch is available for children ages 2-18.

Children ages 1-18 are invited to enjoy a meal from 12-2 p.m. at Ralph Ellison Library.

Meals are provided by Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Summer Feeding Program.

The color red widely symbolically represents the blood shed by enslaved African ancestors, making red beverages staple menu items for African American Emancipation celebrations.

OKCMOA will develop art making activities around the special exhibition on view at the Museum that summer.

Participants will learn how to grow all the ingredients to make their own salsa including tomatoes, garlic, onion, cilantro and peppers. Participants will be able to take home their own jar of salsa!

The greatest adventures can be found in your favorite stories, and this program is full of STEAM activities inspired by them. Hands-on and creative challenges will abound in this STEM and literature!

Age Range: 6-12 (approximate)

Test your instincts against a perilous adventure of the type only found in stories. This otherworldly program will be a combination of games, survival tasks, and other adventurous fun.

In conjunction with our Young Storytellers publishing workshop, the Edmond Library presents our summer Writing Party series.

Then keep your beautiful work of art or give it away as a gift!

Come join a group of Cozy Mystery lovers.  Each month we discuss either a single book or an entire book series.  For the month of June we each choose ONE book from the Cozy Capers Mysteries by Maddie Day to discuss.

Help introduce kids to the concept of saving money early. Kids will listen to a story about the importance of saving money and decorate their own piggy bank to begin their savings journey.

Southern Oaks Game Night! This game night is a special Summer Break Edition for anyone 18 years and under and/or attending school.

Scrap gardening is great for kids, beginners, or anyone who is wanting to experiment with their first garden. It is also a great way to save money on fresh food by using what you already have in your kitchen!

This event is a recurring series for a writing critique group. The group requires pre-registration and a commitment to attend bi-weekly, share your work for critique and feedback, and to gather that from others. Space is limited.

This program has 2 sessions. Please register for either 6:30-7 pm OR 7-7:30 pm. Each reader must be registered individually.
