Join us for a storytime at your neighborhood library! Skilled librarians will introduce little ones to the library and show parents and caregivers invaluable information on reading readiness and create excitement about reading.
123! Play with Me! is a four-week series for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, parents, and caregivers. Fun and play-based, this program provides an environment rich with toys, books, and art activities and an opportunity for families to spend time together, make new friends, and talk one-on-one with early childhood and family support specialists.
This is a recurring event and takes place the last Friday of February, March, April, and May.
This event is held at multiple libraries.

Calling all Preschoolers, ages 3.5-5! What will be going on at the library today? Something exciting just for you! Will it be storytime, parachute play, yoga, or music play? No matter what, it will be fun, so come and see!
Do you enjoy quilting? Would you like to connect with other area quilters? The Ralph Ellison Library’s quilting club meets Mondays and Fridays from 11AM to 3PM. All levels welcome.
It’s your move! Want to increase your memory and concentration or practice logical thinking skills? Learn how to play chess or develop your existing skills against other players in a friendly environment. Players of all abilities are welcome. Chess boards are provided and library materials are available for further learning.
Chess sets may also be checked out for in-library use at any time by visiting the information desk. This is a recurring event and takes place every Friday. A similar club exists at multiple libraries.
Teens, join us after school to complete different challenges. The activities will change for each event. All projects will be hands-on and could include anything using Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
