Youth are invited to enjoy a mid day meal and make friends at Ralph Ellison Library Monday - Friday at 12:00PM or 12:30PM. Start time varies based on programs scheduled on any given day.

Join us on July 15th for a live webcast event to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11's historic moon landing! We'll also have moon-themed crafts, activities, and library resources for all ages.

"Eyes in front animal hunts, eyes on side animal hides." Skulls can tell us a lot, from what an animal eats to whether an animal is predator or prey.

Chess Club for Kids - It's your move! Want to increase your memory and concentration or practice logical thinking skills? Instruction is offered the first half hour for beginners followed by an hour of play for kids of all levels.

Northwest teens! Have your voice heard! Advise the teen librarian on topics of importance to you, help plan teen programming, participate in service projects, and earn service hours. Volunteer application required to participate.

Want to be a more confident reader? Build "pawsitive" self-esteem and improve your reading skills while reading aloud to certified therapy dogs at the library.

Bored? Hang out with us at the library. Each Monday, we'll have some type of teen activity. It could be robotics and coding, arts and crafts, music, theatre, writing, or something else entirely!  This event is for TEENS ONLY (ages 12-18).

Try your hand at Impressionist painting! Join an OKCMOA teaching artist to learn about the summer exhibition Van Gogh, Monet, Degas: The Mellon Collection of French Art from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Put on your pajamas and grab your favorite stuffed friend! We will enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, and an occasional craft, so come join the fun! This is a recurring event and takes place on Mondays.

Come and watch a family friendly movie! Adults, teens, and kids are welcome. We'll have snacks, and enjoy the movie. July's movie will be the original "How to Train Your Dragon."
