Skilled librarians will introduce little ones to the library and show parents and caregivers invaluable information on reading readiness and create excitement about reading. Connect with others while enjoying stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and more!

Have you ever wondered what makes you uniquely and beautifully you? Cut paper portrait is a special type of artwork where you make a personalized paper portrait, cut out small paper details, and attach smaller paper details with glue.
We can only guarantee one kit per household and per registration (if required).
It is encouraged that an adult supervise children while using this Metropolitan Library System Take & Make Kit.
What time is it? Slime time!! This STEAM series is a fun way to make a variety of different slimes. It's going to be slime- tastic!

Practice makes perfect in sports, and the same is true in school. Research has shown that the best way for children to improve their reading, math, and science reasoning skills is through practice.
Do you need a little extra help with your reading? Come by the library once a week on Tuesdays to help get back on track. Students will be paired with a teen volunteer to practice and gain confidence in their reading ability.

Join us for a Book Adventure! Meet with other kids to discuss Strega Nona by Tomie DePaola. We will have a snack and play a game, or make a craft. Some copies of the book are available at the Information Desk.
Ready, Set,...Chess! Come and join us for an evening of chess. All skill levels ages 10 and up are welcome! Come if you are interested in learning how to play or if you are looking for a fun competitive game.
