Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, is almost here! This American holiday, observed annually on June 19th, commemorates the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved African Americans in Texas.

It's summer time!! Bring back all those summer camp vibes with this super awesome craft. Directions and supplies will be included. 

As a way to celebrate PRIDE this year, check out one of our PRIDE Book Boxes.  Each will contain a book from our collection with a main character who represents the LGBTQ+ community to check out, a few goodies, and some PRIDE swag.

Help Mothman find his friends at the library! Visit the children's department to complete a fun scavenger hunt and win a prize if you can unscramble the secret word. One prize per person.

Celebrate Pride with a DIY colorful Pride Flag garland! This kit will contain all the supplies needed to create a colorful flag garland that celebrates the many different kinds of people in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

This is a take home kit for ages 5 and up. Kit contains the supplies to make a decorated paper butterfly. Young children will need adult supervision and assistance.

Find the national park posters around the adult and teen sections to collect a prize at the reference desk!

Come by the Luther Library every week of Summer Reading for a unique adventure themed craft or demonstration! This week you can build and design your very own Adventure Journal.

Make your own drink charm!  You can put it around your straw, the handle of your coffee mug, or the stem of your wine glass.  

Make a set for those summer get togethers! 

Each kit can make a set of 4 charms.

Come on down to the Southern Oaks Library to pick up your very own DIY Junimo plush kit! In honor of the newest updates, these kits allow you to make your own adorable forest spirit!
