Parachute Play for Babies 0 - 12 months: Join in the colorful fun of Parachute Play! Shaking, lifting, going under and around the parachute is not only great exercise, but it also helps children learn to cooperate and follow directions.

Join our prehistoric guest and learn all about proper tea party etiquette! We’ll enjoy kid-friendly tea and snacks and explore some dino-mite crafts and activities! Grab a few books on your way out to continue the tea party fun at home!

Registration required. Space is limited.

Adults and teens, ages 16 and older, can improve their reading, spelling, and writing skills in this free class. The class meets twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday and is coordinated by Community Literacy Centers (CLC).

Hey, Diddle Diddle-- Kids and families will love Mother Goose on the Loose ®! Mother Goose on the Loose ® is a play-based early literacy program that uses books, puppets, flannel pieces, music, and movement to bring language and literacy to life!

This book club was created with homeschooled teens in mind, but all teens are invited!

This is a recurring event and takes place every other Tuesday. A similar club exists at multiple libraries.

Want to be a more confident reader? Build "pawsitive" self-esteem and improve your reading skills while reading aloud to certified therapy dogs at the library.

This program will feature exobiology themed science activities for teens. There will be a discussion about the possibility of life forms elsewhere in the galaxy, as well as activities to demonstrate these speculative principles.

Come by Capitol Hill after school if you're looking for something fun to do.  We will have different activities and crafts available to create at your own pace and enjoy with friends. Similar programs exist at multiple libraries.

Make new friends and give back to your community! Contact a librarian to join the Teen Service Team and collaborate on decorating, cleaning, and program support projects.

Reading activities and Homework Helpers will be available on a first come, first serve basis to work on various school subjects. We can help you with reading, writing, math, science, anything! Open for kids in grades PreK-6th.

Youth ages 9-14 will learn coding and computer programming skills, and use those skills to create their own games and projects! Prior coding knowledge is welcome but not necessary.

Practice makes perfect in sports, and the same is true in school. Research has shown that the best way for children to improve their reading, math, and science reasoning skills is through practice.
