Program Description
Event Description
In 1834, Jeanne Villepreux-Power created the first aquarium to study squids, fish, and ocean plants. She began her career as a seamstress, but after she moved to Italy with her husband, she became fascinated with the ocean. Her only problem? She couldn't study plants and animals in their natural habitats without catching them, and she could not keep them alive above water, so she created three types of aquariums to hold her specimens. In this kit, you'll learn more about Villepreux-Power and create your own miniature aquarium to hold three different kinds of aquatic plants!
