Rainbow of Rocks!

In this fun hands-on class, the Geologists of the Oklahoma Geological Survey will introduce children to the exciting world of rocks, minerals, and soils by exploring the science of color! Kids will get to investigate many geological treasures from our collection, learn about why the same mineral can be many different colors, and how colors can change even within one specimen, depending on the light! Kids will get to experience glowing rocks by learning about the science of fluorescence! Each child will get to build, keep, and take home their very own collection, a true "Rainbow of Rocks".
