Program Description
Event Description
Did you know owls swallow their food whole, bones and all? After digesting what they can, owls regurgitate a little lump of fur and bones. These are called owl pellets. Scientist use these pellets to study animal ecology. With these kits you will be dissecting a pellet to find the bones and identifying them. Resources for this program are limited, so there is only one kit per family. One pellet can have many bones from different animals which makes it a fun group project! Register and visit Southern Oaks Library to pick yours up!
