Event Description
We're celebrating National Library Week with an Oklahoma Author Fair at Belle Isle Library! Connect with local authors, discover exciting new books, and engage in inspiring conversations about writing and creativity. Whether you’re an avid reader or an aspiring writer, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Books will be available for purchase at the event, so you can take home your favorites and support local talent. Don’t miss out on the free activities throughout the library for all ages—bring your friends and family for an afternoon of literary exploration!
At 2:00 PM, Amy M. Le from Quill Hawk Publishing will explore the three primary publishing routes: traditional publishing, independent (self) publishing, and hybrid models.
At 3:00 PM, join our Special Collection Librarian, Meg Nance Coker, for ideas on rethinking, researching and preserving history.
Throughout the event, join different Oklahoma Authors for Author Talk. This mini breakout session will give guests the chance to have Q&A with our authors, learning about their journey and getting great tips.
