Event Description
AGE: Grades 3-5
Locomotion and Skeletal Adaptations familiarizes students with a key feature to animal survival: locomotion. Limb bone adaptations can tell us how an animal moves and what type of environment the animal lives. Participants will virtually observe skeletal features from mystery animals and determine that animal's primary form of locomotion. Advanced locomotion vocabulary is used in this class.
Through Zoom, a specialist from the museum will lead children and teens through science activities based on forensics. With registration, access will be given to a virtual scavenger hunt, virtual exhibit, and digital handouts and worksheets.
