Event Description
HBO’s new award-winning documentary, Black and Missing, highlighted a serious issue facing too many people in our community. Cases of missing Black people remain unresolved longer, aren’t investigated to the same degree, nor receive the same media attention as those of white people. We see the same issues echoed within Indigenous communities, especially Indigenous women. Join the founders of the Black and Missing Foundation Derrica and Natalie Wilson (featured on the show), Sarah Adams-Cornell of Matriarch, and Darcie from Darcie Parton-Scoon Investigations as they speak about the realities of being BIPOC and missing, what you can do to help, and what to do if you have someone go missing. This event will be taking place on FB Live.
