Our presenter, Beth Mikkola, has worked for over 30 years as a librarian in the medical research field. She has a passion for connecting people with trustworthy information. She sees the MedlinePlus database from the National Library of Medicine as a valuable resource for consumer health information and believes everyone should be aware of and able to use this trustworthy source for medical information.

MedlinePlus provides authoritative consumer health information from reliable government sources. It also includes information in Spanish. Access to this resource is available free online.
