LitFest: Pitch Sessions with Editor Lizzie Davis

Calling all writers! Do you have a finished work in need of home? Don't miss out on these LIMITED sessions to pitch your book to an editor.

Sign up for a Pitch Session with editor Lizzie Davis of Coffeehouse Press. You will have 10 minutes total in this session to pitch your work. Lizzie is open to hearing pitches for novels, book-length essays, poetry and story collections. Lizzie is open to hearing pitches for novels, book-length essays, poetry and story collections that have NOT been previously published by someone else, or by yourself. You may ONLY pitch completed works, not works in progress. If you have registered by mistake, please cancel your registration to leave a space for another participant as space is VERY limited. Only ONE session PER PERSON will be allowed. **All times are Central Time!

ABOUT THE EDITOR:
Lizzie Davis is a writer, translator from Spanish to English, and editor at Coffee House Press. She acquires fiction, nonfiction, and translations for Coffee House and is passionate about championing writing that takes risks and pushes boundaries thematically and formally. Some writers she works with at Coffee House include Julietta Singh, Mónica Ojeda, Poupeh Missaghi, and Jamie Marina Lau.

Davis has translated Pilar Fraile Amador, Daniela Tarazona, Aura García-Junco, and others, as well as My First Bikini by Elena Medel (Jai-Alai Books), a co-translation of Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in Forty Questions with Valeria Luiselli (Coffee House Press, winner of an American Book Award and finalist for the Kirkus Prize in Nonfiction), and Ornamental by Juan Cárdenas (Coffee House Press, finalist for the PEN Translation Prize). Her cotranslation of Elena Medel’s The Wonders with Thomas Bunstead is forthcoming from Pushkin Press and Algonquin Books in 2022.
