This months Movie Night! is inspired by the Juneteenth Holiday. A holiday to celebrate and commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the US.
We will be watching a movie set in 1965, it is 100 years after the announcement that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the Texas state, were free by executive decree.
A chronicle look at a campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965.
We will watch the movie, and eat popcorn. Register now!
