Event Description

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with an interactive workshop on food sovereignty and Indigenous food systems. Food Sovereignty is "the right of peoples to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods, and their right to define their own food and agriculture systems." This workshop will be presented by registered and licensed dietitian Amy Warne, an enrolled member of the Muscogee Nation, Seminole, and Daughter of Kaccvlke (Tiger Clan).
