Program Description

Event Description

What's happening in your fall garden? In this class we will cover what veggies to plant in the late summer for fall harvest, as well as what you can plant in the fall that can be harvested in winter. This class isn't all about veggies; we'll also take a look at fall flowers and plants that thrive late in the season and when to plant bulbs for spring flowers. This will include tips on how to "put your garden to bed," such as trimming old growth and mulching to protect from winter frost.

In this class you will also create your own grow pot with fall greens to take home and enjoy! All supplies will be included.

This class will be taught by Sarah Terry-Cobo, Associate Planner with the City of Oklahoma City's Office of Sustainability and Planning Department.

Make sure to check out some of the library's gardening tools to take home after the class!
