Program Description

Event Description

Sharing in playtime is an excellent way to help children build social skills, promote learning, and discover that the library is a destination for fun! Children will have the opportunity to practice skills such as: following directions, socializing with others, using language, and using small and large muscles. Come meet new friends, bond with your little one, and explore the many resources your neighborhood library has to offer!

Enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, games, and activities that encourage language development and promote positive attitudes about reading and learning! This once-a-week evening story time during the summer months is designed to foster early literacy skills in children ages 0–5 while supporting their caregivers in creating a literacy-rich environment. Through engaging and interactive sessions, we’ll help children build the foundational skills they need for future reading success while having fun together as a community.
