Event Description

Interested in gardening? It's not too late! Now is the perfect time to start cool season vegetables, to begin dividing and planting bulbs for spring flowers, and harvesting seed from plants who have completed their life cycle.

Swapping seeds with others is a great way to start a garden or expand your existing garden without breaking the bank. Come to the library to see what seeds are available, bring your own seeds to donate, and check out the library's extensive collection of gardening related books to help you get growing.

If you have seeds you would like to share with your community, donated seeds can be dropped off in advance at the Edmond Adult Reference Desk or brought the day of the event. Seeds should be well labeled with the plant's name and care requirements, such as sunlight needs or planting depth. Plants or bulbs that are healthy and pest free may be brought to share at the event itself, but cannot be accepted early due to space concerns.

Seeds are available on a first come, first served basis. Please take only enough for your personal gardening needs.
