Come listen to the smooth, comfortable beat of SWING, a style of music that became popular after the Great Depression when people were ready to escape the economic pressures they had been facing and were excited for a new experience. The Classic Swing Big Band is a dedicated group of volunteer musicians of all ages sharing the desire to keep the Swing Era alive and well. They encourage students and gather new fans by finding the best, most FUN arrangements possible. They play for nursing homes, senior centers and all kinds of special events, like this one at NW Library.
