Event Description

To celebrate Black excellence for Black History Month, this week we're looking at Myra Viola Wilds. Wilds (July 19, 1875 – September 18, 1935) was born in Kentucky. She authored the poetry collection Thoughts of Idle Hours (National Baptist Publishing Board, 1915), in her own hand after losing her eyesight due to overwork as a dressmaker.
