Kris Lackey, a USA Today Bestselling Author, has published four crime novels set in Oklahoma's Chickasaw Nation. His detectives are Bill Maytubby, of the Chickasaw Lighthorse tribal police, and Johnston County deputy Hannah Bond. Craig Johnson, author of the Longmire series, said of the first novel, Nail's Crossing, "As fine a mystery series debut as I've read in a long time."
