Join us the 3rd Saturday every month for Author Hour: where we talk writing, publishing and everything in between. Questions are always welcome.

This month, we'll be joined by two fantastic authors: Daphne Palasi Andreades and Marie Rutkoski. They will discussing their new novels and writing for various audiences.



ABOUT THE AUTHORS:


Daphne Palasi Andreades

Daphne Palasi Andreades was born and raised in Queens, New York. She holds an MFA from Columbia University, where she was awarded a Henfield Prize and a Creative Writing Teaching Fellowship. She is the recipient of a 2021 O. Henry Prize, as well as scholarships to the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, where she won the Voices of Color Prize, and other honors. Brown Girls is her first novel.

Marie Rutkoski

Born in Illinois, Marie Rutkoski is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Harvard University. She is a professor of English literature at Brooklyn College and a New York Times bestselling author of books for children and young adults. She lives in Brooklyn with her family. Her newest novel REAL EASY is a compulsive, tenacious, and unexpectedly hopeful thriller.
